Association Is Visible in the Community
The Lacey Minsk Mazowiecki Sister City Association has participated in several events during the month of August. On August 14th the association had a booth at the Lacey Community Market. Many people stopped by to inquire about the association or to ask about Poland and our sister city, Minsk Mazowiecki or to tell us about their trips to Poland.
The second event we participated in was the Sand in the City. This event was sponsored by the Hands on Children’s Museum. We participated in the International tent along with other sister city associations, Olympia, Tumwater, and Yelm. We all had a craft that was connected to our sister city or it’s country. Our craft was for children to create a design with stamps that simulated Polish Pottery. Over 700 children made pottery designs. We also were able to visit with many people who have visited Poland and to tell them about our sister city. See photos
